Some Dreams Never Stop Calling
Music was my first language.
Long before Oracle Cards, books, and workshops, music was how I made sense of the world.
It was my first love, my first Oracle, and the place where I felt most connected to something greater than myself.
A song could give shape to feelings that were often beyond words. It could hold grief, wonder, longing, hope, and joy all at once.
I spent years following the dream I'd had since I was a little girl and eventually signed a record deal with EMI Records at forty years old.
Instead of the music becoming the story, my age did. I was quietly told what so many women hear in one way or another: that my time had passed. That I was too old. Somewhere along the way, I accepted that story as truth and gently closed the door on that part of my life.
For more than twenty years, music remained quietly in the background, waiting.
Then life, in its mysterious way, began placing one synchronicity after another in front of me. What started as an invitation to write songs became a journey back to my artist, my voice, and a part of myself I thought I'd left behind.
My album, My Dark Church, grew out of that season of my life, and I'd love to share it with you—the stories behind the songs, the unexpected twists, and what I discovered along the way.
During our time together, I'll show you a simple practice for listening to music in a whole new way, one you can return to whenever you're seeking guidance, clarity, or a reminder that Spirit is always speaking.
My hope is that somewhere in these stories, you'll recognize a little of your own. Because some dreams don't disappear. Sometimes they just wait for us to be ready. And maybe, like me, you'll discover it's never too late to answer their call.
Why I Wanted to Share This with You
When I released My Dark Church last month, so many of you wrote to tell me that parts of my story felt like your own.
Some of you had set aside creative dreams. Some had convinced yourselves it was just too late. Others told me the music reminded you of parts of yourselves you'd almost forgotten.
That's why I wanted to create this free event, not only to share the stories behind this album, but to explore something I've come to believe very deeply:
